My name is Cristina Barton, and I have the best job in the world. I am a photographer. I am located in Basingstoke, Hampshire, UK, and I specialise in modern children and family portraiture. I work exclusively on location and, whenever possible, I like to use natural scenery and light as my props. The Hampshire countryside and its surrounding counties are rich in impressive architecture and areas of incredible natural beauty – I like to make these part of my art. As any parent will tell you, children are bursting with energy – and so is my photography. I encourage them to be themselves through play and I like to get down to their level. Don’t be surprised to see me jumping, rolling around, climbing and pulling funny faces during our session! My aim is to capture a wide range of expressions from all my subjects, regardless of age – from contemplative to joyful, from silly to angelic – everything that makes up those that you know, love and want to immortalise in your professional portraits.
